Married!!!!.

OK, the crit story will have to wait along with the pursuit story at World Masters in Sydney last week....the big story (and I have no pics to show yet....well only a couple but no connection from camera to PC on holidays)...is that Shane and I got married on a secluded beach near Manly last Friday (oh 2 days ago)...It was a great day, perfect weather, the celebrant was fantastic and the guests (all 2 of them) had a great time and didnt even know we were getting married until 24 hours before hand.

It had been in the pipeline for 6 months and was a secret because we didnt want to make a big fuss, second time around for both of us. I had a dress and Shane had a suit and we had two witnesses and it was just quiet and lovely then we had a water taxi ride around Sydney Harbor for an hour before all dining in Manly to top off a fantastic day..........Booking the wedding reception was fun...Can I please book a table for four?......

Whilst a wedding with all of our friends would have been an option, having done the full wedding, I knew I didn't want to do it again like that and so did Shane so we agreed to do it this way......Photos to come....we did have a photographer and she was fantastic too............so that is exciting news...!!!

Congratulations - fantastic news. I hope you both had a brilliant day and it will definately be one to remember!

And just quietly, I think you did it exactly the right way!

Thanks Mon and Ant, we had booked everything on the net basically, but the celebrant and the photographer and everyone were all the best people and the weather was great, we could not have hoped for a better day..........and I did the customary tears as it was romantic and everthing

Congratulations to the two of you. You kept that one a secret, hey? If I ever got married I would do it the same way, too. Probably even minus the dress and suit. LOL

Now go and live happily ever after ...

Hey Judith, So nice to catch up in person at the World Masters. Congrats on your PB in the pursuit, but even bigger congrats getting married!!! I hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Sydney, I guess it was really a honeymoon! Megs

Ive been a wedding officiant for 9 years and I'm convinced that the most memorable ceremonies are intimate ones like yours. (And though I have no hard data to back it up, I'll bet these marriages have a higher success rate too.)

Congrats!

Thanks everyone and I promise to post pics, when I have some.....it is hard to take pics when there are only 4 of you there and our friends who came along are not really into taking pics......Megan you might appreciate this but we got Nige to take a few pics of us pursuiting and we have a great set of photos of the track at Dunc Gray but no riders.........
Thanks Groover - have decided not to do Bright.....As I had the big fall there this year it is a bit soon, but I see there is a womens C grade which is fantastic as B grade last year had AIS development riders in it.
Maureen, our celebrant commented that we looked like a fun couple and both he and his wife were just fantastic and I think enjoyed it as much as we did!

Now the honeymoon is on and it is pouring here in Manly........

Ahhhh, that's what you meant in your note! Congratulations! This, however, doesn't seem like something that should be posted in the "Dreaded Diary Pages" :)

Much happiness to you both. I can vouch, it's better the 2nd time around. :)

Thanks Donna, and for the record nothing "dreaded" in the whole marriage thing!

Sorry Buttsy,

My daughter put me on FaceBook as the guy who swears a lot. Too many years on ships and oil rigs.

I'm very happy for you and Shane. And, you've just married into the BEST father-in-law.

I raise a glass... cheers.
