Todays race wash up

OK, today the club had their last crit in the Push N Pedals crit series and I raced and I was nowhere near as nervous as I have been in the past which is fantastic as nerves usually wreck me for a while. Big Tick there!!!! I raced B grade, there was A B and C and two of the B graders were quite strong (very strong) and I was happy with my ride as I was trying to master cornering and I was hit and miss with it but did do some well and some badly...HOW DO YOU MASTER THE ART OF CORNERING?

Anyway I did get third in an intermediate sprint which is a HUGE thing for me (only 5 in my grade but out of 3 intermediate sprints and the finish I was 5th, 4th, 3rd and 4th)...we averaged about 35kph which is 1kph slower than when I was doing a solo chase of a breakaway a few weeks ago and the wind was about the same.......

Anyway happy today, I am definately riding better, have got a big three day tour next weekend and that should be fun, hopefully will get on my new ITT bike this week, so I can use it in the 30km TT on Sat. I put new pedals on it and they matched perfectly

So I am ready to Fly in a Time Trial I hope, have done a couple of hard hit outs this week and will be busy this week, but will get some training in, intensity but less km as TT on Sat is 30km, then crit on Sun and 80km road race on Monday...big weekend

That is about it for me tonight I have to go and do some homework as I have just started a new Uni course and am doing Chem and have to do Anatomy as they wont recognise my Paramedic degree which sucks but anyway it is like revision. (I hope)........

So Overall, raced well today although my sprinting was better it still is not great, But I was never looking to get dropped, even when I attacked after the third sprint for a lap and a half until they caught me........bugger.

Must get back to the periodic table ............

Practice practice practice is the only way to master corners. Do you have a place where you can work on high speed cornering?
