Bike trraining

Well I have been keying in my rides into bike journal and have found that my January was much better than Feb and March...but I am studying and working and everything and my parents are staying which takes some time too....not sure about my next big race just yet...there is a ITT Masters series coming up but not sure how my work roster will fit in with it.

Not much to say today, rode the hard ride yesterday with our morning bunch and it was dark the whole way aorund and I hung on, I think our speeds got up in the high 40's a few times as it got very hard a couple of times, but I did not get dropped and feel stronger at the end. Then Shane and I rode 60km last night at an easier pace, giving up 100km for the day (40hard and 60 recovery with some small efforts.

Tonight was going to be a race but have other commitments later and the weather if looking very iffy so will do windtrainer work instead

Oh the dreaded wind trainer. Not much fun but it works in bad weather. It's been raining where I live for the past week so no riding outside. It's driving me nuts.

I did the Chris Carmichael Time Trial DVD which is a tough workout and I felt like I had acheived a lot when I finished it

Bluenoser - ITT individual time trial which is my favorite event

Groover - yeah some day soon - I even dusted them off......but too nervous at the moment

Buttsy,

Rollers are a treat. You'll catch them no problem.

In fact they will help your ITT because they teach you to be smoother and hold your line.

I keep a journal in Excel with the basic stuff and a comment section. It works well for me because I can go back and look how I felt on the same routes, etc.

Bluenoser - it is a time thing, I have too many things too little time and I want to have a dedicated and filmed go at this thing so I can provide some light entertainmnet

Chris - A lot of people I know use excel but I tend to go the old handwritten journal plus bike journal as a back up...I think the excel spreadsheet sould be better , you could make graphs and much prettier.....maybe next year...or later this year...I have enough trouble placing all of my work roster into a spreadsheet for my coach to prepare my programme for me.......

The best thing is that I will be getting onto my new bike in the next few weeks......
